Boston vs LA in the NBA finals all over again. The way things should be. Just like old times.
The Celtics and the Lakers are the two dominant traditions in NBA lore. Think about it - of the previous 60 seasons, there had been 16 Celtic champion teams, and the Lakers are up close with 14 of their own. There had been 31 NBA finals over the years which has either a Laker or Celtic team involved, including 10 dramatic Boston - LA Finals matchups.

I’ve traveled to the U.S. a number of times, and it was the first time my luggage had to go through a random compliance examination (COMPEX) by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the Los Angeles International Airport in California. I was a bit anxious, but I thought to myself, I’ve got nothing to hide, so I’ve got nothing to fear. For about 20 minutes, the Customs officer went through each item in my luggage and questioned almost each item, including my clothes, business cards, toiletries, medicines and camera. Luckily, he was satisfied with his findings, and allowed me to repack my luggage and go.
However, there was a Filipino passenger behind me who was not so lucky. The Customs officer he was dealing with found fake jewelry and other goods in his luggage. I didn’t stick around to see what the consequences were for that passenger.

It took a magnificent Game 7 performance by Paul “The Truth” Pierce for the Boston Celtics to defeat the Cleveland Cavs and advance to the NBA Eastern Conference finals. The Celtics continued on their disturbing trend - undefeated at home, winless on the road. Hardly a comforting thought considering that the Detroit Pistons are up next and possibly the Lakers in the finals. These teams are way too good not to steal a win at the Boston parquet floor.
But the play of Paul Pierce might have given the Celtics the realization that in the playoffs, when all else fails - you need a go to guy to win.
